Congratulations to Bill Miller and Elham Esfandiari (PhD), for receiving the 2020 Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) grant for their research project: Self-Management for Amputee Rehabilitation Using Technology (SMART). Since late 2019, Bill and Elham have been studying the effect of the SMART Program on the walking capacity and confidence of individuals with unilateral lower limb amputation. Through this research, SMART aims to help participants improve walking capacity, enhance the ease of daily activities, and build confidence.
