L-Test: Overview

Type of Administration: 
Performance measure for walking ability with prosthetic device: Subject stands up from an armless chair, walks 10 m (in the shape of an L) at the subject’s usual walking speed, turns 180 degrees, and returns 10 m (in the shape of an L) to a seated position

 
Response Scale: 
Test time is recorded to the nearest 1/10th of a second.

 
Scoring: 

  1. Objective Scoring = test time taken (generally average score of 3 test trials)
  2. Subjective Scoring = observational information regarding the quality of gait
