Congratulations Dr. Emma Smith! Emma successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled, “Powered wheelchair skills training for older adults with cognitive impairment: Using shared control to facilitate independence”.

Our Innovations in the Northwest to advance Assistive Technology Excellence (InNovATE) event at the Vancouver Public Library was a great success. We had a wonderful time hosting the event and seeing everyone engaged on the topic of addressing assistive technology access challenges throughout our region and informing the future of assistive technology provision. Thanks to all who participated in all the meaningful discussions we had. Special thanks to Emma Smith and Erica Digby for making this event happen.

Dr. Miller is now accepting applications for student trainees. Please click here for more information!
